Our Mission

Terra 360 is an initiative of the Democracy in Action Lab at Stanford University, developed in collaboration with POY Latam and the nonprofit organization Social Focus (501(c)(3)), and in partnership with media outlets, academic institutions, and community organizations.

We are a nonprofit editorial platform: a space and a tool dedicated to strengthening democracy, buen vivir, and international cooperation.

At a Glance

  • Bilingual: Spanish and English.
  • Focus: dialogue, democracy, human rights, digital ethics, and buen vivir.
  • Work: journalism, analysis, research, and visual storytelling.
  • Partnerships: media, academia, and community organizations.

Why We Exist

In 2025, we witnessed significant democratic backsliding in many regions of the world, along with the dismantling of international agreements — both written and tacit — that, though imperfect, had helped sustain standards of peace and global cooperation.

The Terra 360 team — international and interdisciplinary, with experience in communication, technology, and research on democracy, buen vivir, and international cooperation — believes these are issues that must be debated openly and rigorously.
